Bill & I are members of the Professional Photographers of America. We enjoy photography trips around the state of Florida in our motorhome, canoe-camping on Class I & Class II rivers, kayaking in St Joseph Sound, taking our cabin cruiser out on the water and visiting our grandkids in Kansas City and Seattle.
We also love taking bike trips on the Pinellas Trail.
Bill also enjoys computer programming and web development and Jean is an avid gardener.
We retired from wedding videography a couple of years ago, after years of success and reaching the top level of wedding videographers in the state of Oklahoma.
But then we decided we missed the fun and being able to help couples enjoy their day while ensuring the memories will be vivid forever, but we didn’t miss lugging all the heavy video gear around. We used to have a big camera crane, heavy tripods, Steadicam gear, microphones and stands, etc. and it was a lot of physical work.
The only gear we have now are a few light-weight (at least compared to our big, professional video cameras) professional dslr cameras, (note that these are pro-level – Nikon D800; D5100 & D3200 – and carefully chosen as great wedding cameras) and a couple of light-weight tripods. Oh, and sometimes a couple of stands for backdrops, reflectors, light diffusers, softboxes and speedlights.
Bill got into photography when he was only twelve years old! By age fourteen, he had his own darkroom, and was doing professional portrait and journalism photography by the time he was just sixteen and won several state (California) and one national photography award.
We have both done wedding photography before and we’re excited about getting back into wedding photography.
We stay pretty busy but we really enjoy everything we do.
